Lesson 2: Picking, Fretting

Playing notes on strings 1-6 on frets 1-4 (called “first position”), showing upstrokes and alternating upstrokes/down strokes with the pick, learning your first picking exercise: one that will develop your finger strength and dexterity, particularly of your fourth finger (your pinkie), which is generally a weaker finger that some players avoid using as a beginner.
